3 Live Music Events in New Paltz to Close Out October 2026 |
From a Davenport Artist-in-Residence concert to a Halloween costume party, here's where to catch live music in New Paltz this late October |
October in New Paltz is always a great time for live music, and the final two weeks of the month are packed with shows that span classical piano, blues-rock, and a psychedelic Halloween bash. Whether you're looking for a sophisticated evening at SUNY New Paltz or a high-energy night on Main Street, here are three verified live music events you won't want to miss.
1. Nahre Sol — Davenport Artist-in-Residence Concert
Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2026
Pianist and composer Nahre Sol returns to SUNY New Paltz as the 2026 Davenport Artist-in-Residence. Known for her popular YouTube channel where she blends classical technique with contemporary genres, Sol will perform original work drawn from her recent album Alice in Wonderland. The Davenport Residency for New American Music has brought groundbreaking composers to the New Paltz campus since 2015, and Sol's performance promises to continue that tradition of bridging classical and modern sounds.
The concert takes place in Studley Theatre on the SUNY New Paltz campus. Tickets are available through the SUNY New Paltz Fine & Performing Arts box office.
2. All Night Boogie Band w/ Callie Mackenzie at The Lemon Squeeze
Date: Friday, October 23, 2026
The Lemon Squeeze — New Paltz's beloved Main Street music venue — hosts the All Night Boogie Band with special guest Callie Mackenzie on Friday, October 23. The evening promises bluesy, boogie-driven rock in the intimate setting that has made The Lemon Squeeze a Hudson Valley favorite for live music. Doors open at 5 PM for drinks and bites, with the music kicking off at 8 PM.
The Lemon Squeeze is located at 107 Main Street in the heart of downtown New Paltz. The venue regularly features a mix of local and touring acts across genres from funk and psych-rock to jazz and blues.
3. Mindchurch Halloween Party at The Lemon Squeeze
Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026
What better way to spend Halloween night than a psychedelic audio-visual experience? Mindchurch takes over The Lemon Squeeze on October 31 with a Halloween party featuring dance music, live visuals, and a costume contest. The event follows the local Halloween parade, making it the perfect after-party for anyone celebrating in downtown New Paltz.
Mindchurch is known for immersive, multi-sensory performances that blend electronic music with trippy visual projections. The costume contest adds a competitive edge — dress to impress and you could walk away with a prize.
Plan Your Late October Music Crawl

My daughter follows Nahre Sol's videos and had no idea she was coming back to New Paltz. She's already asking about Tuesday night.
Janelle OrtizThat's a fun surprise for her. I'd check on tickets soon since Studley isn't a huge room.
I like the Lemon Squeeze, but two shows there and only one at SUNY feels like a pretty small music crawl. Still, the blues night sounds good.
Chris P.Fair point about the crawl. I'd love to see a few more venues included next time, but I'll probably make it to the blues show.
Twenty dollars for the Nahre Sol concert seems reasonable. I'm more interested in hearing her original Alice in Wonderland music than the Halloween party.
Leah MartinThe Alice in Wonderland pieces caught my attention too. I'm hoping she talks a little about them between songs.
The Halloween parade usually brings plenty of people downtown. I'd get to the Lemon Squeeze early if you want to catch Mindchurch.
Good tip, downtown could be lively after the parade. The Mindchurch Halloween party is listed for 5:30 PM, with a cover at the door.
Tom AlvarezGood call. Main Street gets busy after the parade, so I wouldn't count on walking straight in.
Callie Mackenzie is the reason I'd go to the October 23 show. Nice to see her on the bill with All Night Boogie Band.
Nina R.Same here. I'm curious how she'll sound with the band.
Callie Mackenzie makes that October 23 bill even more enticing! Music starts at 8 PM, with doors opening at 5.
I wish the Halloween cover price was listed. Paying at the door is fine, but it helps to know what to bring.
Evan BrooksAgreed. Even a rough cover price would help, especially if the door is cash only.
I saw a piano concert at Studley a few years ago and really liked the room. Might go back for Nahre Sol.
Patricia L.Studley is a nice size for piano. You can really hear the quieter parts without feeling far from the stage.
Mindchurch after the Halloween parade could be fun. I wonder how crowded the Lemon Squeeze will get with a costume contest too.
kim_87I was wondering the same thing. We might head over right after the parade and see how the line looks.
Doors at 5 but the All Night Boogie Band starts at 8? Good to know before I show up three hours early.
Dave ThompsonRight? Five sounds more like a dinner plan than a concert arrival time for me.
Nahre Sol at Studley Theatre sounds like a lovely Tuesday night. I like that SUNY students can get in free.
Marisa G.Free student admission is a great perk. I hope the music department gets a good turnout on a Tuesday.
