We did the legwork so you don't have to. Here are three verified personal injury law firms serving New Paltz, what they focus on, and how to reach them.
MidHudson Injury Law — Focused Exclusively on Injury Cases
Attorney Bryan G. Schneider runs MidHudson Injury Law (formerly Schneider Law Offices, PLLC) with one focus: getting compensation for people who've been hurt. The firm has recovered millions across the Hudson Valley — including a $1,175,000 recovery for a head-on car accident victim and $900,000 for a construction accident case. They handle car and truck accidents, boating accidents, bicycle crashes, dog bites, wrongful death, and serious injury claims. Their operating model is straightforward: no fee unless they win. They serve Dutchess, Ulster, and Orange Counties, plus NYC and Westchester.

Selby Legal, PLLC — Right on Main Street
George C. Selby, Esq. has his office at 243 Main Street, Suite 250 — right in the heart of New Paltz. Selby Legal is a multi-practice firm, and personal injury is one of several areas alongside bankruptcy, traffic tickets, real estate, and criminal defense. That breadth matters if your injury case comes with other legal entanglements — say, a traffic violation from the same accident or debt issues piling up from medical bills. Selby holds hundreds of five-star reviews on Google and Yelp, and is licensed in both New York and New Jersey. Free consultations are available.

Lawrence R. Trank, PLLC — Over 30 Years in the Hudson Valley
Lawrence R. Trank has been practicing law since 1993, making him one of the most experienced attorneys in the area. His New Paltz firm handles personal injury cases — including motor vehicle accidents, slip-and-fall incidents, and dog bites — alongside criminal defense, DWI, and traffic violations. Recent case results include dismissed DWAI charges and dismissed misdemeanor charges in Ulster County. If you want an attorney with deep local court experience and a track record spanning three decades, Trank is worth a call. Free consultations are available.

How to Choose
If your case is a straightforward personal injury claim — car accident, construction site injury, wrongful death — MidHudson Injury Law's singular focus on injury law and multi-million-dollar track record makes them a strong fit. If you need an attorney who's physically on Main Street and can handle injury alongside other legal matters, Selby Legal is a convenient choice. And if experience and deep local court knowledge matter most to you, Trank's three decades in the Hudson Valley is hard to beat.
All three offer free consultations, so there's no reason not to call and see who feels right for your situation.

Trank has been around since 1993? I remember seeing his name on things for years. There's something to be said for knowing the local courts and judges. That kind of experience isn't something a big out-of-town firm is going to have.
Feels a little like an ad dressed up as a news story. Would have been nice to see some actual client experiences or court records instead of just the firms describing themselves.
skeptical_steve_npFair point, though to be honest most local papers don't have the resources to dig through court records for every roundup like this. At least the names and numbers check out. I looked up Selby on Google before and the reviews are real, not fake-looking ones.
