Has anyone actually been to Twin Star Orchards recently? Curious if they still allow dogs in all areas or just certain spots. Would love to take my two labs out there for a weekend trip.
julia_npWe went about a month ago and dogs were welcome in the outdoor seating area by the main barn. I don't think they allow them in the covered tent section but the open area was plenty of space. Perfect for labs honestly, lots of room to stretch out.
Mudd Puddle is great but parking anywhere near Water Street Market on a weekend is a nightmare. Just a heads up if you're driving in from out of town with a dog in the car.
Dave KowalskiTotally agree. We usually park over by the rail trail and just walk in from there. Adds a few minutes but honestly it's a nicer way to arrive with a dog anyway since they get a little walk in before you sit down.
Schatzi's bringing out water bowls without being asked is the kind of thing that makes you a regular. Took my shepherd mix there last fall and the staff were so sweet with her. Highly recommend.
Terri M.Same experience here. My beagle can be a little anxious around strangers and one of the servers actually crouched down and let her sniff before doing anything. Little things like that go a long way.
Honestly a little surprised Twin Star made this list. Last time we went it was pretty crowded and my dog was not loving the noise level. Beautiful spot though, I'll give it that.
Mudd Puddle is great but the patio fills up fast on weekend mornings, especially after people come off the rail trail. Get there early if you're bringing a dog or you'll be waiting a while.
Took my golden retriever to Schatzi's last summer and they brought out a water bowl before we even sat down. Didn't ask, they just did it. That place really means it when they say dog friendly.
